The Baltimore Ravens took to focusing on their offensive needs rather than address their defensive ones during the 2019 NFL Draft. Could their UDFA haul help fill those needs?

During his first NFL Draft as general manager of the Baltimore Ravens, Eric DeCosta went out and got his young quarterback some help by selecting five offensive players. The Ravens spent early-round picks on wide receivers Marquise Brown and Myles Boykin to provide Lamar Jackson with some reliable targets.

On day three, the Ravens got Lamar Jackson a new running back in Justice Hill with the first of their three fourth-round picks. They used their second fourth rounder on guard Ben Powers to protect Jackson along the offensive line. Lastly, they used a sixth-round pick on gadget quarterback Trace McSorley, who will probably play more of a Taysom Hill role in Greg Roman’s offense.

While they definitely helped their offense on paper, the Ravens did not address the defense as much in the draft. They did, however, select Louisiana Tech pass rusher Jaylon Ferguson in round three to potentially replace Terrell Suggs. The Ravens also spent a fourth-round pick on USC corner Iman Marshall, to provide depth to an already deep secondary. And lastly, they addressed the defensive line by adding Texas A&M defensive tackle Daylon Mack.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, their defense still has a few holes that need to be filled after the 2019 NFL Draft. To potentially solve this problem, the Ravens went crazy and signed 19 UDFAs, most of which are on the defensive side of the ball. But which ones stand a chance of making an instant impact?
