Jalin Moore, RB, Appalachian State

After bringing in Le’Veon Bell and Ty Montgomery during the offseason while already having Elijah McGuire, Trenton Cannon and De’Angelo Henderson on their roster, you might think they are set at running back.

Well, I don’t think Montgomery, Henderson, and Cannon will make it through roster cuts and Le’Veon Bell is never a sure thing when it comes to health. That and Jalin Moore is not a bad football player.

Despite sustaining an injury that took away most his 2018 season and his Senior Experience, Moore showed his athletic skills at his App State pro day. After putting up 27 reps on the bench, 4.39 on the 20-yard shuttle and a 33-inch vertical jump I’m amazed he wasn’t drafted.

Moore has good size at 5-10 210lbs and had tremendous production at App State over four years with 582 attempts at 3570 yards and 33 TDs. His great vision and burst off the snap will make him an intriguing player for the Jets. And while it didn’t quite show up on his stat sheet,  Jalin Moore catch balls out of the backfield.

Moore won’t start and probably never will but he’s a great relief option for Le’Veon Bell and a great piece for their offense.
