Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo

Size, speed, splash plays…Tyree Jackson has all of that, but he doesn’t have consistency on tape.

That’s the main reason this athletic marvel of a quarterback (seriously) went undrafted.

As you can see from this spider graph, very few athletes at the quarterback position compare to Jackson. He’s bigger, faster, stronger, quicker, and more explosive than just about anyone to come before him.

Actually, his closest comparison is Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, so he’s sort of an ideal backup here.

Though the Bills brought back journeymen Matt Barkley and Derek Anderson, Jackson has a real chance to win the third spot on the QB depth chart in Buffalo, where he played his college ball.

Jackson has a strong arm and every physical tool you could possibly ask for if you were ordering a QB a la carte. If he can put it together, he could end up being a great player.

Pretty much everyone agreed he needed another year of college ball, and the NFL doesn’t do a great job of bringing guys like this up through their systems, so the odds are against Jackson. But, he has all of the tools to become an impact player so we will see what happens here.
