The New England Patriots draft theme this year was ‘value.

I love the pick of N’Keal Harry at the top of their draft. He is an alpha type of receiver with big play ability and considering he’s the first receiver taken in round one of the Bill Belichick era, they have plans for him to do special things.

Joejuan Williams was a player the Pats were rumored to be targeting in round one, and they view the 6-foot-4 defensive back as a matchup player for some of the top tight ends and bigger receivers they will face.

Chase Winovich was a fun pick in round three, and is the quintessential Patriots defender capable of playing on the defensive line and standing up as a rusher.

Damien Harris was one of my favorite backs in this draft and has three-down ability. He’s a phenomenal pass protector.

Speaking of pass protectors, Yodny Cajuste is a pretty darn good one and he was mocked in the first round of many mock drafts this offseason.

How about Jarrett Stidham has the heir apparent? Stidham excels at many of the same things Tom Brady was good at coming out of college. We’ll see if the Patriots can’t get a second-round pick for him in two years when Tom Brady is still playing.
