. . Philadelphia Eagles. . team. 54.

1 (22): Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State
2 (53): Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State
3 (57): JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford
4 (138): Shareef Miller, DE, Penn State
5 (167): Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern

The Eagles had one of the smallest draft classes in the league this year, but they made the most of their picks.

They moved up in the first round to get the best pass protector in this year’s class, Andre Dillard out of Washington State.

I’m sure the Texans were thrilled to miss out on getting the guy who was undoubtedly atop their board.

Their loss was the Eagles’ gain.

Miles Sanders is a fun pickup for this offense. He finally got his chance to shine at Penn State this year after Saquan Barkley entered the 2018 NFL Draft, and he did not disappoint, averaging about six yards per touch offensively.

This pick is a fun, “Anything you can do, I can do better,” move by the Eagles.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside is one of the best jump ball receivers in this year’s draft, and he runs good routes. I would love to see him play some big slot for the Eagles.

Shareef Miller is a nice addition for pass rush depth.

Clayton Thorson was considered a possible first-round player earlier in his college career, but couldn’t put it all together. I think he’s a nice backup option for the Eagles going forward.

Grade: B+
