123. . . . Dallas Cowboys. . team

1 (58): Trysten Hill, DT, UCF
2 (90): Connor McGovern, OG, Penn State
3 (128): Tony Pollard, RB, Memphis
4 (158): Michael Jackson, CB, Miami
5 (165): Joe Jackson, DE, Miami
6 (213): Donovan Wilson, S, Texas A&M
7 (218): Mike Weber, RB, Ohio State
8 (241): Jalen Jelks, EDGE, Oregon

The Dallas Cowboys acquired receiver Amari Cooper with their first-round pick in this draft at last year’s trade deadline, and we’ll factor that into the final grade.

Trysten Hill was quickly rising up draft boards and anytime Rod Marinelli gets a player for his unit, I take notice. Hill is athletic and will be a fun player to watch work inside his rookie season.

Connor McGovern was a starting right guard and played some center for the Penn State program, and gives the Cowboys some needed depth up front.

Tony Pollard was an outstanding kick returner at Memphis, scoring seven touchdowns on kickoffs. He also was a nice backup to Darrell Henderson, racking up 18 total offensive touchdowns in his career. He is a solid all-around back with special teams ability.

Michael and Joe Jackson from Miami are good fits for the Cowboys’ defense. Joe, in particular, looks like a prototypical base end for a Marinelli coached defense.

I think the Cowboys got some decent depth with their final three picks of Donovan Wilson, Mike Weber, and Jalen Jelks.

Grade: B- (C+ without the Cooper move)
