team. 35. . . . Tennessee Titans.

1 (19): Jeffery Simmons, DL, Mississippi State
2 (51): AJ Brown, WR, Mississippi
3 (82): Nate Davis, OG, Charlotte
4 (116): Amani Hooker, S, Iowa S
5 (168): D’Andre Walker, OLB, Georgia
6 (188): David Long, Jr., LB, West Virginia

Playing in front of the home crowd, so to speak, the Tennessee Titans had a short draft but an impactful one.

Jeffery Simmons would have been a top 10 player in this class had it not been for an ACL injury that could derail his rookie season.

Simmons was as explosive an interior defensive lineman as I scouted this offseason, but there were concerns about him off the field dating back to an incident in high school. He has stayed out of trouble since then, but then the ACL injury cost him probably at least nine draft slots.

AJ Brown is a steal in the second round. He gives the Titans a tough-as-nails receiver with an extensive route tree and ability after the catch. Marcus Mariota should love him.

Nate Davis was a favorite small-school player for a number of people, and should compete to start on the interior line in a year or less.

Amani Hooker was a steal on day three. He has unbelievable instincts and flies to the football no matter where he’s lined up on the field.

D’Andre Walker and David Long Jr. are really solid day three pickups who can provide depth and special teams help.
