Jacksonville Jaguars. . team. 52. . .

1 (7): Josh Allen, DE, Kentucky
2 (35): Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
3 (69): Josh Oliver, TE, San Jose State
4 (98): Quincy Williams, LB, Murray State
5 (140): Ryquell Armstead, RB, Temple
6 (178): Gardner Minshew, QB, Washington State
7 (235): Dontavius Russell, DT, Auburn

The Jacksonville Jaguars lucked into Josh Allen at number 7 overall just like the Denver Broncos did last year with Bradley Chubb.

Allen was wildly productive at Kentucky, and showed elite athletic traits at the Combine this offseason. He’s going to have a long career as an edge player in the NFL, and I love his fit in this particular defense.

Jawaan Taylor was a top 10 player for most people throughout this process, but fell due to concerns with his knee.

He and Cam Robinson are going to host a weekly pancake feed with the Jaguars. Those are two of the toughest young bookend tackles in the NFL.

Josh Oliver has a similar physical and athletic makeup to that of Rob Gronkowski coming out of Arizona, but he has a long way to go to achieve that kind of hype. I still really like him as an in-line player and an athletic receiver who can split out wide.

The Jags were very pleased with their sleeper Quincy Williams out of Murray State, and we will give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Ryquell Armstead is a tough runner and Gadner Minshew will be — at worst — a solid backup in the NFL for a long time.

Dontavius Russell works hard every snap and was a very solid late-round value.
