2019 NFL Draft: Best value picks in the fifth round
With the 166th pick, the Los Angeles Chargers selected arguably the most decorated FCS quarterback ever.
Stick was the successor for the Bison after Carson Wentz went to the NFL in 2016, and he won four National Championships with them.
Though he’s certainly not the same type of prospect as Carson Wentz, Stick has the ability to grow into a solid starter in the NFL with proper development, and at the very worst, a capable backup who can come in and keep things moving in the right direction if your quarterback gets hurt.
The Chargers went to the Dakotas with a couple of picks in this draft, and I love it. They looked to small schools for some very intriguing developmental picks, and Stick has the type of arm and athleticism to make it at the NFL level.
He’s a proven winner.
