Round 5 Pick 157: Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford

Delanie Walker will be 35 years old when the 2019 season kicks off and is coming off of a gruesome ankle injury that caused him to miss nearly the entire year in 2018.

While the team hopes that 2017 3rd round pick Jonnu Smith continues to trend upwards, it should be expected that the Titans add some more help to the tight end group in this draft.

So with the 157th pick in the fifth round I have Tennessee doubling up on Stanford Cardinal as they select tight end, Kaden Smith.

Smith gives the Titans a guy with prototypical size at the position that would be a perfect contrast to the speed and athleticism of Walker and Smith.

He has a huge catch radius, strong mitts and is a skilled blocker which makes him a perfect red zone option right away in the NFL.

Smith is pretty limited in his route tree and does not show any significant athletic traits, but what he can do, he does really well.

This would be solid value and it would fill a need that could immediately contribute on that Titans offense.
