Round 2 Pick 51: Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College

Chris Lindstrom is a name that has flown up draft boards throughout the process and it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear his name called in the first round. However, for this particular mock, I can see him slipping right into Tennessee’s hands at 51.

This pick just makes too much sense for the Titans.

Not only does Lindstrom fill a big need for the team, but he was also brought in for a Top 30 visit and the team met with him at the combine. Not to mention the fact that he played on the same O-line as Mike Vrabel’s son at Boston College.

The 2018 All-ACC guard started 51 straight games (4-year starter), excels in run-blocking and is an old-school style bully in the trenches.

He possesses the necessary blend of power and technique that makes him such an attractive prospect in the 2019 draft.

While a lot of people nitpick the fact that he didn’t have to move backward and protect the pass very often at BC, I feel he showed excellent footwork and hand placement that leave no doubt that he can handle the added workload in the passing game.

The Titans already have one of the more intimidating offensive lines in the league, adding Lindstrom would almost be unfair.
