The Arizona Cardinals kicked things off by using the number one overall selection on Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray.
Murray clearly made the right decision choosing football over baseball, becoming the first athlete ever to be selected in the first round of both the NFL and MLB Draft.
Not even John Elway and Bo Jackson can claim that.
It’s now the Murray and Kingsbury era for the Cardinals, who have to figure out what to do now with last year’s first-round pick Josh Rosen.
The Cardinals traded first- and third-round draft choices to move up with the Oakland Raiders in 2018 in order to select the former UCLA star, but Rosen will now get his chance in another NFL city.
That storyline will be fun to watch this weekend, along with the rest of this completely unpredictable first round.
