Round 3 / Pick 91: Bobby Evans, OT, Oklahoma

Looking back at Evans tape from the 2017 season, he looks like a second round pick. Evans made the switch over from right tackle to left tackle for the 2018 season.

Evans played well, earning 2nd team All-Big 12 honors. Evans should be available late in round three because he lacks the height of a prototypical offensive tackle in the NFL. What he lacks in height, at 6’4, Evans makes up for in strength and quick feet while run blocking allowing him to pull from the tackle position.

Evans would be a better NFL fit at right tackle rather than left. Right tackle just so happens to be the position along the offensive line that the Chargers need to address first.

Evans would be an immediate upgrade over Sam Tevi, and would likely be in competition during the offseason to try to earn a starting spot on the right side of the line.
