Round 3 Pick 69: Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State

It’s no secret that there are a ton of question marks surrounding 2017 4th overall pick Leonard Fournette.

After a promising rookie year, Fournette took a big step back in 2018 as he played in just 8 games and averaged an abysmal 3.3 yards per carry.

He dealt with injuries all year and missed a game due to suspension after exchanging punches with Buffalo Bills Shaq Lawson during a scrum between the two teams.

Fournette didn’t help himself this offseason either as he was arrested at a traffic stop for failure to pay a speeding ticket back in November.

While the team does hope he can get back on track and bounce back in 2019, it is vital that they add somebody else to the running back room on draft day.

As much as I personally hope Darrell Henderson is available here, I just don’t see that being possible without trading up, so the Jags go with Oklahoma State’s Justice Hill at pick 69.

Hill fits exactly what Jacksonville should be looking for as the lightning to Fournette’s thunder as he has the speed and quick decision making at the LOS that the Jags desperately need.

He also shows a lot of potential in the passing game.

While he didn’t fill up the stat sheet in that department, there is enough on tape to see that his ability as a route runner out of the backfield makes him an immediate option on 3rd down.

Jacksonville had just 9 carries of 20+ yards last season and 3 of them came from Blake Bortles.

Justice Hill is exactly the type of back they need to inject some home run ability into their run game.
