The Target: Offensive Tackle

The Texans have the worst situation in the NFL in terms of protecting their most valuable asset. They should be the most motivated team in the NFL to move up and get pass protectors.

DeShaun Watson was sacked a whopping 62 times last season. David Carr was sacked 76 times in his rookie season for the Texans back in 2002, so he’s got no sympathy for Watson, but protecting Watson has to be priority number one for the Texans.

The best pass protector in this year’s draft is Andre Dillard, and he should be on the board with the 10th pick. The Texans could make the Denver Broncos an offer they can’t refuse to move up and snag the tackle they so desperately need.
