The Target: Offensive tackle

Cam Newton was sacked 29 times in 14 games last season, which would seem like a treat if you’re Kirk Cousins, but that doesn’t take into account all the times Newton is hit when he takes off running, which is quite often.

Newton may not even play in 2019 because of the beating his body has taken, and the Panthers know they need to upgrade the offensive line play.

They started by signing Matt Paradis, one of the best centers in the NFL, but they will likely be a team in the market to trade up for a top tackle. Only one of Jonah Williams, Andre Dillard, or Jawaan Taylor is expected to go in the top 10 picks, so the Panthers should pounce on one of them when the top 9 picks have gone by.
