The Target: Quarterback

Of all the teams in the 2019 NFL Draft still looking for a quarterback, the team most desperate is probably the Washington Redskins.

Alex Smith will hopefully play football again, but that’s a major question mark right now. Colt McCoy is not the long-term answer, and neither is Case Keenum.

Smith is 34 and won’t play in 2019, so by the time the Redskins are even able to re-evaluate him as their guy, he will be 35 and coming off of more than 1.5 years of no football.

The Redskins need to take a quarterback in this draft, so I expect them to be the team that targets someone and jumps up maybe ahead of the Broncos, Bengals, and Dolphins to do it.
