The Target: Offensive Line

The Vikings missed the playoffs in 2018, an unacceptable fate after they spent so much money on Kirk Cousins to be a franchise changer.

Cousins was sacked 40 times last season, more than six percent of his drop backs. That’s absurd.

The Vikings are picking 18th overall and in all honesty, that would be too late to get a top flight pass protector at the tackle position. They could stand pat and draft one of the best linemen left on the board, but the Vikings should be considered candidates to move up and target players. They don’t have many needs elsewhere on the roster. Many of their key players are locked in with new contracts.

Their primary draft assets need to go into the offensive line and keeping Cousins upright.
