The 2019 NFL Draft is just around the corner and this Houston Texans 7 round mock draft provides a taste of one possible scenario.

The Houston Texans are right on the cusp of being a Super Bowl caliber team.

DeShaun Watson has led his squad to playoff appearances in both seasons in which he’s been healthy, and with a few more pieces added to both sides of the ball, they could take the next step.

That being said, the draft is where the team hopes to find those pieces.

Free agency saw the Texans lose three starters in the secondary. This includes longtime corner Kareem Jackson, 2018 FA acquisition Tyrann Mathieu, and former 2015 first round pick Kevin Johnson.

They did their best to fill those holes by bringing in solid veterans Bradley Roby and Tashaun Gipson, but the secondary remains a major need as we near the 2019 draft.

On top of that, Houston’s offensive line was abysmal in 2018 and should be a major point of emphasis early, as well as depth at skill positions and the defensive line.

As we inch closer to the team being put on the clock, there are a countless scenarios that could happen on draft day. This Houston Texans 7 round mock draft is one that I feel would put them in a position to win, and win now.
