Cleveland Browns Mock Draft: Still Room for Improvement
Round 3, Pick #80: Trayvon Mullen, CB Clemson
If you like defense, spoiler alert, this is going to be your mock draft.
The Browns have such few holes to fill on the offensive side of the football as of now, and it’s fascinating how that seems to happen when you hit on the quarterback position. It’s like the guy controlling the offense makes the offensive players better or something.
Nonetheless, they hit a 3-run bomb off the big screen in center field with Denzel Ward at corner last year, but that won’t stop them from taking another one in this class. Trayvon, like most Clemson corners, is a long-bodied prospect at just over 6’2″ and he may not be the lockdown man-to-man corner that Ward is, but he’s worthy of this #80 overall pick for sure.
Even if he doesn’t become an outside corner, his ability to be an impactful tackler in the run game makes him a very good option in the slot as well.
