Fourth round: Joe Jackson, DE, Miami

If the Seahawks are looking for a base defensive end to pair with Frank Clark, they need to look no further than Joe Jackson, a junior out of Miami who can absolutely fill that traditional RDE role in a 4-3 defensive look.

Jackson put together three seasons of solid, consistent production at Miami where he racked up 129 total tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, and 22.5 sacks along with five forced fumbles.

Jackson’s best asset is his power. He’s not an edge bender like some of the guys we’re seeing come out of college nowadays, but he wins with physicality and that’s another trait the Seahawks will be drawn to.

He’s got long arms and plays with his hair on fire, as they say. His tenacious style could work really well with Frank Clark and the Seahawks might have themselves a starter here if they get Jackson in round four.
