The latest and final Washington Redskins mock draft of the 2019 offseason includes more Alabama emphasis at the top, including some OL help.

This Washington Redskins mock draft used the NFL Big Board Aggregate, the CBS Aggregate, the NFLMocks, and the Bleacher Report simulators. Players needed to be available in at least three of the four simulations to be selected. Otherwise I tried to go with the best player available in a position of need.

I’m operating under the premise that all four of the top QBs are gone by the time the team makes their first selection with the 15th pick as I believe Arizona, Denver, Cincinnati, and Miami will have snatched up the top signal callers by the time the Redskins are on the clock.

I am also of the opinion that Washington will not be the highest bidder in the Josh Rosen sweepstakes.

ROUND 1 Pick 15: JONAH WILLIAMS, OL, Alabama

Williams’ stock has fallen slightly as Florida’s Jawaan Taylor and Washington State’s Andre Dillard are now the two highest ranked OTs on many boards. That works out well for the ‘Skins as they would want to plug the Alabama All-American into the LG spot until either Trent Williams or Morgan Moses just can’t get up off the field any more.

Hopefully, that is several years from now but every Redskins fan understands it could be much earlier. Either way, Case Keenum proved two years ago that if he is surrounded by talent he can win games. I can’t convince myself that a TE or a WR does Keenum any good if he doesn’t have time to throw the ball.

The Redskins also have to establish a run game or Keenum is not going to ever get a realistic chance to run this offense. Jonah Williams may eventually end up being a very good tackle. I think he can be an excellent guard right away. It looks as though he’ll be there at 15.

He’s not the sexy playmaker a lot of people wanted but he is going to be one of the best players available and he definitely fills a critical need.
