4. Washington Redskins

Here’s a second NFC East team who should make a Russell Wilson trade. There are rumors surrounding the Giants and Wilson. I left them off because they seem to be loyal to Eli Manning. There’s also the fact that just about everyone has them taking a QB in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The Redskins could target a QB in the draft, but they’re not in nearly as good of a situation to be able to get the guy they want. Case Keenum recently arrived here to fill their void at QB. However, making a move for Russell Wilson would mean the Redskins would be set at the position for years to come. Out of respect for Wilson, I’m not even going to compare him to Keenum. We all know who’s better.

Like Dallas, the Redskins have a legit defense. Their 15th ranked spot in points allowed per game doesn’t look great, but they were greatly hurt by the loss of Alex Smith. This was a a defensive unit either in or near the top five before his devastating injury. A Russell Wilson trade would put this defense back near the top five in the NFL.

If the Seahawks made this trade, I’m sure it would include Case Keenum. He may not be their QB of the future, but he’d at least give them someone serviceable until they can find whoever that may be.
