3. Dallas Cowboys

Surprise!

You may think I’m crazy right now, but let me explain this one first. I know you’re asking, “Why would the Cowboys trade for Russell Wilson when they have Dak Prescott”? That’s a great question.

As a Cowboys fan, I love Dak Prescott. Despite what a lot of people say, I think he’s a franchise QB. He’s a winner. He’s got a 32-16 record as a starter, he’s led his team to the playoffs in two of his first three years, and he’s won a playoff game (Against Russell Wilson).

Despite what I think of Prescott, I believe Wilson would take this Dallas team to the next level. Prescott has had a great career thus far, but Wilson has reached the NFL’s highest level. He’s a Super Bowl champion. He’s played in a second Super Bowl, where he was one throw away from winning it.

Then there’s the fact that Wilson reached those two Super Bowls with the Legion of Boom defense on his side. A big part of building the Legion of Boom was coach Kris Richard, who is currently the secondary coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He’s already taken the Dallas secondary to new heights, and I can only imagine how much better he can make them with another year together.

Dallas is building their own Legion of Boom. With a legit defense, a QB of Wilson’s caliber can get this team what they’ve wanted for so long…another Super Bowl victory, let alone appearance.

This Wilson trade would benefit both sides, as Dallas would improve their QB situation, while Seattle would have a guy in Prescott who does similar things to Wilson. This would make the transition to new QBs easier for both teams.
