2. Miami Dolphins

After trading away Ryan Tannehill, it’s clear the Dolphins are searching for their new franchise QB. Yes, they signed Ryan Fitzpatrick, but he’s destined to bounce around the league to QB needy teams for the rest of his career. Fitzpatrick can win some games, but he’ll never be a franchise QB.

Many have mocked a QB going to the Dolphins in the 2019 NFL Draft, but I’m not sure the right guy will be there when they go on the clock. I’d say Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins are off the board for sure, which would leave them with Drew Lock and Daniel Jones. I’m not sold on either of those guys.

Last time the Dolphins went with the third best QB available in the draft, they ended up taking Ryan Tannehill number eight overall. We all know how that ended up. If I’m the Dolphins, I’m viewing Russell Wilson as far better than any QB I could get in the draft, especially with the No. 13 pick.

QB inconsistency was one of the biggest problems for this team last season. They started off hot, but quickly fell apart when their QB situation went back and forth. Ryan Fitzpatrick was very inconsistent last season, and there’s no reason to think he won’t be again. A Russell Wilson trade would instantly fix that problem for the Dolphins.
