Tight End: T.J. Hockenson, Iowa

Sometimes it is just best not to over think things and this is definitely one of those times. For the people of the scouting world wondering which of the two Iowa tight ends is the best prospect, is it too obvious to just say, “Well, Iowa sure seemed to favor that Hockenson kid a lot more than that Fant kid.”

Who would know better than the staff that was blessed enough to have them both in house? Is college success directly correlated to NFL success? No just ask Tim Tebow, Darren McFadden, Trent Richardson, and the countless of other collegiate dynamos that flopped in the league.

But, all I’m saying is T.J. Hockenson played the bulk of the snaps, was the team’s leading receiver, and most importantly in this argument, was far and away the team’s best blocker at the position for a reason.

Fant is no slouch, but Hockenson is Tight End #1 because he is the full package at the position.
