The Cincinnati Bengals have a new coaching staff with Zac Taylor leading the way. In this Bengals mock draft, he lands a new QB to build around.

The Cincinnati Bengals made the difficult decision this offseason to fire Marvin Jones and bring in some new (young) blood in the coaching department.

The Bengals figured if Zac Taylor worked with Sean McVay, he must be the ‘next’ Sean McVay.

They weren’t alone in that thinking, though they were the only team willing to pull the trigger on Taylor as their new head coach.

Taylor was the quarterbacks coach in Los Angeles under McVay, and the Bengals will expect him to bring that system out East to Ohio, where they also might have a bit of a situation at quarterback.

Does Taylor have the guts to draft Andy Dalton’s replacement in his first year with the team?

Typically, a new coaching staff means a new quarterback unless you have someone like Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, or Aaron Rodgers who are elite players at the position.

Is Andy Dalton irreplaceable? On the contrary, I think the Bengals will be looking to move on from Dalton sooner than later, and that could mean they make some big, surprising waves early in this year’s draft.

Let’s take a look at a mock draft scenario where Taylor gets a new quarterback to build around.
