Second round: Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State

Johnathan Abram is all business when he’s on the football field.

The Mississippi State star came up with 170 tackles over the past two seasons including nine tackles for loss in 2018.

Though he’s listed as a safety, Abram can line up at outside corner or in the slot when asked, or he could match up with a team’s top tight end or running back out of the backfield.

The most eye-opening part of his game is the way he attacks the line of scrimmage. He doesn’t play with reckless abandon, but he plays fast and is instinctive.

He could wind up being one of the top playmakers to come from this year’s class.
