First round: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

This pick essentially takes the pressure off for the rest of the draft.

Of course, the 49ers have five more picks to make after they select Nick Bosa (assuming the Cardinals take Kyler Murray) but this pick is the one that really makes the biggest difference in 2019.

Bosa is a true gem coming out of the college game, a refined prospect with NFL-ready technique, athleticism, and build.

Though he was hurt some this past season at Ohio State, Bosa is the total package who doesn’t have to come off the field at all.

He’s strong at the point of attack in the run game and has the ability to blow by offensive tackles with speed and quickness as a pass rusher.

He’s got great length to be able to punch the ball out from behind when he’s in pursuit of a quarterback and takes great angles with his rush moves.

There are few weaknesses in Bosa’s game, but areas he can continually perfect and refine.

As his game expands, I think he will become one of the better edge players in the NFL.
