Round 7, Pick #232: Austin Bryant, EDGE Clemson

I just wonder if Austin Bryant were to have had his same career anywhere other than Clemson, where he was overshadowed by three first-round caliber players, what his draft stock would be.

He only managed to rack up 17.0 sacks, 30 TFL’s, and 95 tackles in his last two seasons at Clemson. That’s more sacks than any two years of Nick Bosa’s career and more TFL’s than any two seasons of Brian Burns’s career.

I know he’s not the most explosive athlete ever, but damn man, all he ever did was ball.

Round 7, Pick #245: Donnie Lewis Jr, CB, Tulane

If you are going to have two picks in the 7th round, you better be taking hacks. I’m talking, ‘3-0 count and the coach gave you the green light, daddy’ hacks. (Didn’t think you’d get a baseball reference, huh?)

So, why not take a flier on a small school corner with big-time measurables? A 6’1″ 200 pound, long-armed corner, that will be willing to mix it up on special teams until he gets his chance at corner.

There it was. A full 7-round mock draft for the New York Giants. All 12 picks.

Again, an explicit reminder that this was completed through The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator. So please don’t yell at me telling me you don’t think a player falls that far because, in this mock draft, they did. Thanks for reading!
