Mello of the Stick to Football podcast and Bleacher Report joined the NFL Mocks podcast for a 2019 NFL mock draft.

What’s the Statute of Limitations on tattoo bets?

It’s not every day you can share a bond with someone as unique as losing a bet requiring the permanent placement of a logo on your body.

For Mello, Josh Allen being the third overall quarterback taken in the 2018 NFL Draft cost the forever branding of the Natural Light logo. For me, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers coming back from a 3-1 deficit cost an LBJ logo.

Luckily for both of us, we aren’t very good at keeping our word when it comes to eternal ink.

Man enough to admit defeat

You know, after winning an MVP in his first year as a full-time starter and putting together one of the top-5, best single-season performances of all time at the quarterback position, it takes a real man to admit you weren’t high on Patrick Mahomes coming out of college.

Now, hindsight is always 20/20, but Mello wasn’t the only one that wasn’t sold on Mahomes coming out of college (If you don’t believe me go ask the nine teams that passed on him). Nonetheless, Mello wears these freezing cold take like a badge of honor.
