26. Philadelphia Eagles

Indiana. Kevin Allen . 26. player. 54. . OT

It’s hard to say what exactly the Philadelphia Eagles saw in Kevin Allen that made him worthy of the 11th overall pick in the 1985. Whatever it was ended up getting a lot of people fired, that’s for sure. This happened with future All-Pro tackle Jim Lachey still on the board, mind you. Oh and Jerry Rice too but that’s just being mean. The point is the Eagles had no idea they were getting a guy who was totally uninterested in trying to be a good football player.

Shall we run through the highlights? In his first career start against the New York Giants, he contributed to allowing eight sacks. He was so bad at his original position of tackle that they tried moving him to center in 1986. Buddy Ryan hated him so much that he called him a USFL reject. He was gone before that season started after testing positive for cocaine, never played for another team, and ended up in prison for rape.
