13. Houston Texans

CB. Wake Forest. Kevin Johnson . 13. player. 10.

Everybody was convinced that Kevin Johnson was going to be a stud in the NFL. Everybody. The national experts loved him. Rumors were scouts liked him as well. What was not to like. He was big, athletic, fluid, and fast. Everything required for a cover corner in the NFL. Raiders GM Mike Mayock said it best.

"“Some coaches have told me that Johnson is the cleanest defensive back in this draft. He can play inside and outside, press or off coverage. All the defensive back coaches I talk to talk about his feet … so quick. The only concern is his frame and durability, but this is a really good football player.”"

It turns out that the last part was true. Johnson never had a chance to get settled in. Every time he saw the field, it felt like he was getting injured again. He missed 23 games in total during his Texans career, collecting one interception in the process.
