Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, co-host of the Stick to Football podcast, took some time to join the NFL Mocks podcast to talk about the 2019 NFL Draft.

On this episode of the NFL Mocks Podcast, host Brooks Austin is joined by Bleacher Report’s NFL Draft expert Matt Miller. Matt is the lead NFL Draft analyst over there, and also the co-host of the Stick to Football podcast.

We talk about everything from 2000’s R&B, to figuring out which teams are lying to you, and what teams are truthful during this time of the year.

But most importantly, we do player comparisons.

If you’d like to listen to the full interview with Matt Miller, check out the podcast over on iTunes or Stitcher.

Player comparisons (Brooks Austin)

Anthony Nelson (Iowa) to Carl Nassib

Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib are both players that are extremely tall and long. Neither player will ever run the edge on you, but good luck stopping the long arm from these lurch looking lineman. (Young people, google ‘Lurch’)

To be honest, this is as easy as they come when it comes to player comparisons. They damn near look like brothers.

Ed Oliver (Houston) to Aaron Donald

You thought the first one was easy? It gets even better. Ed Oliver may not have the six pack and frame that Donald does, but the explosiveness is there. The motor is there. The impact on opposing defense is there.

The only thing that isn’t exactly identical are the abs of course because I can’t express enough how crazy that is to see at 285-290 pounds, but Ed Oliver is, in fact, slightly taller.

The fact that this draft process opened with Ed Oliver being in mock drafts as low as no. 14 to the Falcons is absurd to me.

Player comparisons (Matt Miller)

Rashan Gary (Michigan) to Everson Griffen

So, this Rashan Gary fellow is a pretty athletically gifted human being, huh? 6’4″ 277 pounds, and turns in a 4.58 in the 40? Man, that’s blazing.

When Everson Griffen came out of USC in 2010, he measured in at 6’3″ 273 pounds, and put down a 4.66. So needless to say, Matt is on point with the player profile.

Montez Sweat (Mississippi State) to Danielle Hunter

The Montez Sweat to Lorenzo Carter comparison is far too easy for Miller, a constant professional in the comp world. For that reason, Matt picked Danielle Hunter of the Vikings.

In four seasons in Minnesota, he’s had 40 sacks. So, if you get that out of Montez Sweat, I think you’ll be ok.
