Action Plan

If the Arizona Cardinals intend to take Kyler Murray with the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, my opinion is that the 49ers should not over-complicate anything.

It’s clear that the best edge player in this draft, if even by a small margin (if you love Josh Allen) is Nick Bosa.

Pairing Bosa with Dee Ford should be a dream come true for John Lynch, whose top pass rusher in week 17 of the 2018 season off the edge was Cassius Marsh.

Yikes.

Adding Ford and Bosa to go with Armstead, Buckner, and Thomas should give the 49ers an advantage on the defensive front seven they haven’t had since their Jim Harbaugh/Vic Fangio days.

There could be temptation to take Quinnen Williams here with some contract situations for other guys, but the 49ers should just take Bosa if the Cardinals don’t, and let him make life miserable for Kyler Murray and the other top quarterbacks in the NFC West.
