2019 NFL Draft: Best replacements for veteran quarterbacks
Miami Dolphins: Ryan Fitzpatrick
After a career resurgence in Tampa Bay last season, Ryan Fitzpatrick has found himself running the Dolphins’ offense in 2019. Fitzpatrick is not the long-term solution for the Dolphins at 36 years old, but if he can limit his turnovers, he could be a great transitional quarterback for the Dolphins while they are grooming their quarterback for the future.
Perfect Fit: Drew Lock
Throughout his time at Missouri, Lock has made throws that left viewers speechless. He would make an unbelievable throw one play that would get everybody excited about his future in the NFL, then come back and throw an interception that should have never left his hand.
The arm talent of Lock alone should alleviate any concerns that teams have of him. Lance Zierlein of NFL Network compared Drew Lock to Lions’ quarterback Matthew Stafford.
If Lock can have close to the career Stafford has had, whichever team selects him in the draft will be solid at the quarterback position for years to come.
