2019 NFL Draft: Best replacements for veteran quarterbacks
New York Giants: Eli Manning
Since being traded to the Giants on draft day in 2004, Eli Manning has led the Giants to two championships, while moving up the all-time charts for nearly every statistical category.
Over the past few years, we have seen a drastic decline in the play of Eli Manning, who has become a quarterback who has a difficult time driving the ball down the field and often resorts to checking the ball down to his running back.
If the Giants want to be competitive in the near future, now is the time to acquire Manning’s replacement.
Perfect Fit: Dwayne Haskins
The trade of Odell Beckham Jr, along with letting Landon Collins walk in free agency, the Giants have shown that they are clearly trying to rebuild with star running back, Saquon Barkley as the new face of the franchise.
Since the Giants have shown no obvious plans of winning now, drafting a quarterback is the way to go for them. Haskins possess the arm talent, as well as the pocket presence to be the perfect quarterback of the future in New York.
