2. Offensive Tackle

The Bills have a pretty darn good offensive tackle in Dion Dawkins as a foundation piece to their offensive line.

They added to their line this offseason by making Mitch Morse the highest paid center in the NFL, and signed another solid tackle in Ty Nsekhe, who has been thriving as a ‘sixth man’ of sorts in Washington for a number of years now.

Nsekhe will pencil in as the starting right tackle, but it’s worth mentioning that he is 33 years old and signed only a two-year deal at $5 million per season. That’s not exactly the look of a long-term fix for the Bills.

Perhaps the ideal succession plan for the Bills would be to draft a guy like Alabama’s Jonah Williams and start him out at guard with Nsekhe at the right tackle spot and move Williams to tackle down the road.

They will also be in position to take a guy like Washington State’s Andre Dillard — who is believed to be the best pass protecting tackle in the draft (that would be huge for Allen) — or Jawaan Taylor, Florida’s right tackle who plays with a mean streak.

If the Bills want a long-term player to pair with Dion Dawkins at the tackle positions for years to come, this year’s draft will be the ideal time to do it.
