Antoine Bethea, Safety

Though he’s heading into his mid-30s, Antoine Bethea has rightfully earned the trust of new Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher.

Bettcher is obviously familiar with Bethea, having worked with him in Arizona, and Bethea proved at the age of 33 back in 2017 that he’s still capable of making a lot of plays.

He picked off five passes in 2017.

In 2018, he racked up 121 total tackles and brought some leadership to the back end of Arizona’s defense.

With Landon Collins out, the combination of Bethea and Jabrill Peppers is going to be an interesting one to watch for the Giants in Bettcher’s defense, but he’s going to rely a lot on this veteran to play a critical roll in keeping things together.
