Terrell Suggs, OLB

It’s no surprise Terrell Suggs was a coveted free agent, but it is a surprise at how quickly a team (the Cardinals) moved in to sign him.

Suggs is 36 going on 27, but still has 18 sacks over the past two seasons. He has always taken great care of his body and is playing at a very high level, and should continue to do so on the opposite side of the field as Chandler Jones.

But who will wear no. 55?

One component that likely went into this signing? Suggs was dominant in an early-season matchup last year against the Denver Broncos. Vance Joseph, the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator, saw that firsthand.

The Cardinals gave Suggs a one-year deal worth $7 million to get him away from Baltimore, and he will provide veteran leadership, energy, and swag to the Cardinals’ defense.
