2nd Round

31. . QB. Duke. Daniel Jones . 3. player

The Giants can’t avoid the quarterback question forever. Sooner or later they have to make a move to begin the process of moving away from Eli Manning. The man has been a true soldier the past few years but he’s not their future. Word is the team has been keeping close tabs on Duke standout Daniel Jones for some time, and it’s not hard to see why.

He’s been groomed by David Cutcliffe, the same man who coached and developed Manning at Ole Miss. He has a sterling reputation when it comes to quarterbacks. Jones is 6’5 and moves well for his size. His arm isn’t elite but he puts enough juice on the ball and can deliver strikes when he’s not constantly harassed. Pat Shurmur would be able to do a lot with him.
