1st Round (via CLE)

Florida. Jawaan Taylor . 2. player. 31. . OT

Gettleman continues his reconstruction of the Giants offensive line with another 1st round pick. This time he goes after the right tackle position. What’s the overarching plan for this team? Simple enough. Feed Saquon Barkley. To do that they need beef up front who can generate movement. Jawaan Taylor has the size, power, and length to fulfill those requirements.

Barkley loves to bounce it outside and Taylor has the sort of nastiness that will allow him to bully defenders at the second level. Don’t be fooled though. He’s not a one-trick pony. He has enough athleticism and the type of nimble feet that should make him plenty functional in pass protection. This should make the Giants front considerably better.
