The Cleveland Browns have enjoyed lots of resources lately and have put them to good use. Now add them as the spot Odell Beckham Jr. traded to.
This is definitely not a troll. Cleveland has reached an agreement in principle with the New York Giants to acquire the All-Pro wide receiver, giving Baker Mayfield even more firepower including Jarvis Landry and Kareem Hunt. If the Browns weren’t being taken seriously as AFC North contenders before, they most certainly must be now.
One can bet Beckham is happy with the deal since he rejoins his friend and former college teammate Landry. For the Giants, their haul in return is a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick and Browns safety Jabrill Peppers. No doubt New York is going to lose their minds over this and the fact that GM Dave Gettleman has once again sent another productive player packing.

Here are the trade terms: Giants recieve a first-round pick in 2019 (No. 17 overall), the Browns' second third-round pick this year and S Jabril Peppers, source tells ESPN. Browns get Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham Jr. has a history of personality issues, but there is no denying his talent. He’s been good for 1,200 yards and double-digit touchdowns every year. This despite being the only legitimate weapon the Giants had for most of that time. Given what he’ll be surrounded by in Cleveland, it’s not hard to imagine him being even more dangerous provided Mayfield continues his ascent as expected.
One thing is for sure, the Browns have done a tremendous job using all those resources they stockpiled to build an impressive roster. Now comes the hardest part. Learning how to win with it. That falls at the feet of their new head coach.
