5th Round

6. player. 124. . WR. UC-Davis. Keelan Doss

It’s unlikely the Chiefs will be able to hang on to Chris Conley at wide receiver. So they’ll need somebody who can fill the void of a big target who can be a threat in the red zone. Keelan Doss showcased this type of ability both in college and at the Senior Bowl. He’s not an overwhelming athlete but he can play physical and has a reliable pair of hands that can move the chains on 3rd down quite often.

6th Round

124. . RB. Stanford. Bryce Love . 7. player

Kansas City is all about explosiveness with their new offense and that includes the backfield. Losing Kareem Hunt was tough but life moves on. They can find other ways to get big plays from that position. Getting Bryce Love in the 6th is a steal. He’s undersized but when healthy he can turn plays that are normally good for 8-10 yards into 40-50 yards. He has speed and quickness that will make him a matchup problem.

6th Round (comp)

Trevon Tate . 8. player. 124. . OL. Memphis

Reid is always keen on investing in the offensive line in some shape or form during a draft. Sometimes it’ll just be later than others. Trevon Tate is far from a finished product. He has technique issues to work through and isn’t overly strong but he’s a good athlete and moves well. If he can be trained properly, he can become at least a quality backup at both guard and center.

7th Round

Darius West . 9. player. 124. . S. Kentucky

The future of Eric Berry can’t really be known at this point. Health issues have continued to plague him. With the scheme changing, it’s unclear where he stands. So the team should at least look to add some depth. Darius West is the classic project player. A terrific athlete but limited in his approach. He’s at his best going downhill, which actually serves well in their new defensive system.
