Jaylon Ferguson . 4. player. 124. . DE. Lousiana Tech

The defensive line overhaul continues. Kansas City can’t afford to hold back in their efforts to find players who fit the role of defensive end in a 4-3. This demands somebody with size, length, power, and at least some athleticism. Jaylon Ferguson showcased at Louisiana Tech that he checks those boxes and has the production to back it up.

He had 17.5 sacks in 2018 alone. The kid has a natural instinct for getting to the quarterback. The concerns with him seem to be regarding his character. Scouts have remains questioning on his lack of effort at times during the year. This is why he slips to the bottom of the 2nd round, but the Chiefs have plenty of good reasons to take a chance on him.
