Somebody is going to take a risk on this kid before the end of the 2nd round. Yes, it’s noted that Simmons has a history of off-the-field concerns and won’t play in 2019 due to an injury, but his talent is just way too much to ignore. He would’ve been a top 10 pick in all likelihood before the injury. The Chiefs are at a point where they can think of the future.

They already have Chris Jones ready to man the defensive tackle spot. So try to imagine what it would be like to pair him with a kid whose game has been compared to Ndamukong Suh. He has that sort of strength-quickness combination. It would be something to behold if the Chiefs were able to bring that out of him with this investment.
