Day 3 direction, final thoughts

On day three of the draft in this scenario, the Cardinals would have a ton of picks to continue re-shaping and rebuilding the roster to Kliff Kingsbury and Steve Keim’s specifications.

They could add to their tight end group in a deep class, and find some more depth and possible sleeper starters on defense, specifically in the secondary.

The Cardinals have almost $40 million in cap space to work with this offseason and they could be a very active team in free agency pursuing a starting corner, some linemen, and perhaps some pass rushers.

This draft class would allow the Cardinals to build around Kyler Murray and set something in motion that could put this team in contention in the NFC West as early as 2019.

They would need to stay healthy and hope these young players transitioned to the NFL level quickly, but a roster including the players picked here along with the guys the Cardinals already have and whatever they do in free agency can be competitive.
