With the third-round pick the Cardinals acquired from the Redskins in this mock scenario, they take Michigan defensive end/linebacker Chase Winovich.

Winovich really blew people away at the 2019 Scouting Combine with his athleticism, running a 4.59-second 40-yard dash and posting a 6.94-second three-cone drill time.

When you watch Winovich play, you see a guy who is going to drive offensive linemen crazy throughout his career with his ability to play at 110 percent on literally every play.

The practice battles between he and Dalton Risner would be fun to watch.

Winovich plays — as they say — with his hair on fire and that type of relentless effort could work really well in tandem with Chandler Jones on the other edge.

Jones is a polished edge player and commands double teams, and Winovich is tough and physical enough to win a number of one-on-one matchups and make some plays in the backfield.
