If you get a franchise quarterback in round one, you use your second round pick to start surrounding him with talent.

That’s not a written rule, but I think it’s a good idea.

Dalton Risner is one of the nastiest, most tenacious offensive linemen in this year’s class, which has a number of really solid players at the top.

If the Cardinals are able to pull off a trade involving Rosen and some day two selections, going after a guy like Risner here gives them ultimate flexibility with the rest of their picks.

They can still look to upgrade and improve the offensive line, but the Cardinals don’t have to force anything.

What Risner gives them is a tough player at the right tackle position who will be an immediate starter in the NFL. He has a great mindset and approach to his craft, and I think he’s going to have a really long NFL career.
