4.) Dalton Risner, Kansas St.

I’ll be honest, I did not expect to see much from Risner when I turned on the tape.

It was late, I was about four hours deep into a YouTube game film wormhole, and then all of a sudden: BOOM. Dalton Risner pops up on my screen and for the first time in the 2019 NFL Draft class I saw an offensive lineman that was out for blood.

This is a young man whose primary concern is inflicting as much power and impact upon his opponent from the first snap.

Now, is Risner your prototypical NFL tackle in the sense that he’s 6’5″ 325 lbs? No, but he is no doubt the best run blocker in this draft. And for that reason I think he can stay at tackle in the NFL.

I have some clips of Risner doing what he does best, move people. First, here he is working against first-round prospect Montez Sweat. Here he is against Texas coming like a freight train.
